About According to Andrew
In January of 2014, we got a lot of snow in Hartford, Connecticut, where I went to college.
Because I was snowed in and had nothing better to do, I came up with the idea to create "Best of" lists- a series of ranked countdown lists, detailing the best in music, film, sports, and just about anything else that came to mind in a given year. By December of 2014, I had kept track of everything from songs I heard on the radio, to movies I saw, to sports moments that kept me on the edge of my seat. The word document was about eight pages long.
But where to put the list?
Well, 2014 came and went, with no evidence of these lists existing.
In 2015, I decided that I'd keep track of the same lists again, but make it a point to put them somewhere. A year came and went, and more detailed versions of lists were compiled.
In December 2015, According to Andrew was created, where I published my "Best of 2015" lists.
Since then, we've become a full-fledged blog, publishng not only countdown lists, but also personal opinions on topics such as theatre and even politics. We've also had some friends stop in and write an article or two themselves!
The goal of According to Andrew is to simply provide another opinion. We aim to enlighten, entertain, and make sense of the world we live in through various means, though primariliy through writing and visual media.
